Intelligent Energy for Europe ( the notice)

Notice " Intelligent Energy for Europe", priority to buildings energy almost zero.

was launched last week the 2011 edition of the program 'Intelligent Energy for Europe', the European Commission initiative aimed at promoting the 'efficiency
energy sources and sources. The Notice

2011
fielding 67 million euro to finance projects relating to four areas: -
Energy Efficiency (12 million euro);-power consumption in the transportation sector (12 million €), - Renewables (16 million euro),-Integrating (27 million euro). Projects should contribute to the achievement of European objectives set by the "climate-energy package" (20-20-20). There will be a grant of up to 75% of eligible expenses. Projects may be submitted to the public or private organizations established in the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Croatia, and international organizations from at least three different countries, made in partnership.

Applications must be submitted no later than May 12, 2011, the Executive Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation, through the website: http://ec.europa.eu/energy/intelligent/
The Notice sets out the priorities chosen by the EU for each theme. In particular, the area "energy efficiency" includes the issue of energy efficiency and renewables in buildings, recently addressed by Europe with the Directive "almost zero energy buildings (2010/31/CE), under the that by 2020 all new buildings must have high energy performances and cover very significantly their energy needs from renewable sources.

As a result, over the next few years, the sector will be affected by a profound transformation, in which the public sector's role will be central. Action should therefore support public authorities in their leadership role.

The priorities in this field are :
- promotion of integrated energy design of buildings, both new construction and renovation;
- enhancing the visibility of the examples of excellence;
- support the implementation of measures and instruments, including financial or legal, to increase the number of existing buildings converted to almost zero energy buildings;
-service and public sector to lead by example;
- involvement of industry in the production of solutions for energy efficiency and energy sources.

Another fundamental requirement is to qualify operators in the construction sector .
's great contribution to the objectives expected by 2020 the construction sector is a major challenge for the industry, which has to be ready to learn to make renovations and new energy-efficient buildings with nearly zero energy. This means

having to increase the number of skilled workers . The need for training and certification is also recognized by Directive 2009/28/EC (currently being transposed in Italy), which provides training and certification of installers. The initiative, which will be allocated a budget of € 8 million, should focus primarily on training the existing workforce, as artisans, but could include a selected number of trades and professions.
